How do I find Japanese (NTSC-J) Nintendo games on eBay?

You collect Japanese releases and want only NTSC-J copies of Super Famicom, Nintendo 64, GameCube or Game Boy games, not the North American or European versions.
What makes this hard
eBay stores the region in an item specific called Region Code, with the value NTSC-J (Japan). eBay's help says item-specific filters sit on the search results page, and its advanced search isn't available on mobile.

Sellers also label the same console in different ways. When we checked on September 23, 2026, eBay's Platform list had both "Nintendo Super Famicom" and "Sfc", and both "Nintendo Famicom Disk System" and "Famicom Disk System", so a filter on one label misses the other.

Region Code is whatever the seller entered, and listings that leave it blank drop out of a region filter. Read each listing's photos and description before you buy an import, and check that it will run on your hardware.

Why tick two labels for the same console?
eBay lets sellers pick from several Platform values, and some Super Famicom listings use "Nintendo Super Famicom" while others use "Sfc". Ticking both keeps either one.
