Used Herman Miller Aeron chairs are bulky, and freight or boxed shipping can materially change the comparison. The live AuctionMapper search can sort nearby listings by distance, while background Hunt monitoring can cap item price plus available shipping. The background poller does not enforce ZIP or radius and excludes tax, so review those details in every collected match.
This hunt is pre-filled below — add your ZIP and adjust anything, then save it or see matches now.
An Aeron is light but bulky. Sellers either decline shipping, charge $150+ for it, or ship it disassembled with parts that get lost. Local pickup sidesteps all of it — and most listings near you are pickup-only.
Aerons come in sizes A, B, and C, with or without lumbar support and PostureFit. A keyword hunt plus reading the listing photos beats a generic search; keep the keyword broad here and confirm size in person at pickup.
A $350 chair with $200 freight costs more before tax than a $520 local-pickup chair. eBay's native Price + Shipping sort can compare displayed amounts. Hunt can cap item price plus available shipping, but current background monitoring excludes tax and does not enforce its ZIP or radius fields.
Target a used size-B Aeron within 50 miles. AuctionMapper's live distance sort can put a $525 local-pickup listing ahead of a $399 far-away listing with $220 shipping. With a $700 background Hunt cap, both remain under the poller's pre-tax item-plus-shipping threshold, and radius is not enforced. Review the collected match's distance, shipping method, and tax before deciding.
Yes — the frame and mechanism are extremely durable, and Herman Miller's components are widely available if anything needs replacing. A clean used Aeron at half retail is one of the best office-chair values around, provided you don't lose the savings to shipping.
Size is stamped under the chair (A, B, or C). When you buy local pickup you can check it in person before paying. Most listings are size B (the medium), which fits the majority of people.
AuctionMapper links to listings on eBay and may earn a commission through the eBay Partner Network when you buy — at no extra cost to you. We never adjust what you see based on commission.
